You can arrive at Mamula Island by air (we have a helicopter pad) or boat. The closest airports are Tivat (TIV), Dubrovnik (DBV) or Podgorica (TGD). You can get a boat transfer directly from Tivat to the Island, or take a taxi from any of the airports to our nearest shoreline where a boat will bring you to the Island. Private helicopter transfers are available from Dubrovnik or Tivat airport. We can organize transfers upon request.
Mamula Island is a protected cultural and historical monument and - working with local heritage authorities - every brick, wall, and feature has been carefully restored to its origin.
All we’ve added is a fresh, meticulous, and sympathetic understanding of what outstanding hospitality should look like here.
When we took responsibility for Mamula Island, our aim was simple: to bring the fort’s beauty back to the fore. This meant respecting the landscape and existing architecture. And preserving the historical significance of the space.
Ultimately, our aim is to return Mamula Island to its roots as a place offering sanctuary.

The curation of the Historical and Memorial Gallery is entrusted to a commission of experts from architecture and conservation, tourism and fortification systems, as well as veterans, relatives of those formerly imprisoned, and residents of Herceg Novi.
